2023 WasteSMART All-Star Award Winners
Save Our Supplies took home the 2023 WasteSMART All-Star Award sponsored by Containers for Change Queensland. Save our Supplies won the Outstanding WasteSMART Award in 2021, making the organisation an All-Star finalist for 2023.
Brisbane City Council developed the WasteSMART Brisbane Awards to recognise and celebrate the achievements of residents and groups who work together for a clean, green and sustainable city. Council has partnered with Brisbane Sustainability Agency to deliver the awards.
This year there were nine award categories recognising long-term commitment to waste prevention and reduction, and 12 awards with a prize pool worth over $4000.
The finalists were judged by an expert panel, including representatives from Cleanaway, Containers for Change, and the University of Queensland, except for the People's Choice WasteSMART Award which was voted on by the public.
The 12 winners across 9 categories were announced at the Lord Mayor's Awards Ceremony in November 2023. Congratulations to all the nominees and winners across Brisbane this year and past years!
